Over time, the consumable debris will fill the extruder box and gear gaps, increasing the resistance to gear rotation, causing slippage during filament feeding, and accelerating the wear of gears and gear shafts. Therefore, regularly cleaning the extruder components helps ensure the stability of filament extrusion and extends the lifespan of the extruder.
