When filament runs out or a different filament is needed for printing, filament change is required. Adventurer 5M and Adventurer 5M Pro are both capable of changing filament. Specific steps are as follows:
1. On the main interface, click [].
2. Click [].
3. Taking the example of changing PLA, PLA is also the default material. If changing to another material, click [PLA] and choose the desired material in the pop-up material selection interface.
4. Follow the prompts on the printer and first pull out the filament guide tube.
5. Use diagonal pliers to cut the filament and pull out the old PLA filament.
6. Load the new PLA filament and feed it through the filament guide tube until it comes out from the other end of the tube.
7. After clicking [Start], the printer will begin preheating.
8. After preheating is completed, it starts extruding filament. When the remaining old filament is gone completely, insert the new filament into the filament inlet. Once it starts feeding filament automatically, you can release your hand.
9. After the new filament comes out of the nozzle, filament change is completed. After successful filament change, insert the filament guide tube into the filament inlet.
Note:
1. When switching from a high-temperature material to a low-temperature material, such as switching from ABS to PLA, a cleaning action is required. After inserting the PLA filament, please load it 1-2 times at the ABS filament loading temperature.
2. When printing with PETG, due to its sticky property, a cleaning operation on the extruder is necessary when changing filament.
